I guess I have hit a lazy patch. I am doing some reading in the Xcode book but I have been unfortunately busy with some other things. Although I tried to get through chapter 7, there were parts that I could not get to work. With that said, I could easily go back and use the chapter for instructive purposes.
I am now into the real meat of the book, chapter 8. This is the part II, "The Life Cycle of an Application". Chapter 8 gives a bit more than an overview on how to start an application. It then does a lot more with iOS discussions and will end at page 236. I am hopeful that I will take away a lot leading up to the latter parts of the book.
