I did not get too far yesterday. Time was one thing but another problem was the amount of code I had to copy into my first app. I still have not digested it yet and am a-scared to. The delegate implementation is pretty nasty. My guess is that Hillegass is just showing this to introduce the concept but in subsequent chapters, will show how to use the visual interface. At least I hope that is what he is doing. In the meantime, I will slowly try to digest the material.
As of late, what's been popping into my mind is possibly to go back to the Kochan book and do a quick reread. The more I think about it, the more I realize how good that book was. I was just too dumb to figure out everything but the more I am exposed to, the more the Kochan material makes sense. Before I go there, I will be reading the Apple Objective-C material. Maybe that will convince me otherwise.
