So today I finally had a meltdown. I was in chapter 8, looking at all the table stuff, and I said to myself, where am I? What am I doing? Why am I so lame? Over 6 months into this and I am nowhere. NOWHERE! I have been a developer for 20+ years and I just can't get this. It is way too much. Whenever I think I am getting along, boom, many steps back. So darn confusing.
Today I went online to see if there are better books. Today I decided that I would give this book one more chance so back I went. Back to chapter 3, 4, 5. I am rereading everything slowly again. There are still Objective-C things that I don't fully grasp and I think that is what is holding me back. I do not foresee re-reading the Kochan book. That would be a killer. I will just trudge through the earlier chapters again and hopefully get it someday.
