Onto the Big, but not Important Chapter

I finished all the exercises pretty easily in chapter 12. Surprise, surprise! Then off to the long chapter 13, the chapter which discusses classic C functionality. The funny thing, and this could change on a dime, is that I understand this pretty well. The reason I think is because I have done procedural development for a long time and this stuff follows along those lines. It so far discusses arrays and functions which are things I am very familiar with. The author does not want the reader to work hard on this chapter as it set up to be skimmed... which is good because it is over 60 pages in length. In any event, I may go through it quickly as I want to get back to the object oriented principals. Speaking of which, I took a book out from the library entitled OOP. I plan on reading this like a novel and take notes only if they add clarity.

I have been reading people's opinions about learning curves for Objective-C. Some say it is steep and others from the developer community are rather obnoxious at times (probably young) and cocky. Some say they can learn objective-C in a like a week but as long as you have "C" knowledge. It can be discouraging to hear at times as I am already a month through this and nowhere near where I want to be. But I am still having fun and it is already a habit. I miss it when I don't do it enough in a day.

Well, tomorrow I will "skim" the chapter. Well, not actually. I am really reading it and am looking forward to "C" things like structures and an expression I have heard for years but never pursued, "pointers".
