Back in the 6
Well I reread all the way back to up to where I left off, which is somewhere in the middle of chapter 6. The reason I went back in the first place is because I hit a wall in chapter 6 that was laughably difficult for me. Well, after all the readings I ended up at the spot and found it tough again. But it was tough because there were newish concepts. Well, there was Objective-C concepts and iOS concepts mixed together. I had to learn a bit more about the frame property, the window, the CGRect, etc. After staring at it for a bit, and consulting some google spots, I think I am able to understand it pretty well. I have to reread it again tomorrow. I mean, every part of window has to be overlaid over the other. Then there is preparation for where to put things. It's tough. No doubt about it. It is not like Access where I pop a control on the form and I don't have to worry about creating a form object, a view object, etc. This is more detailed and I have to not only get used to the idea, but I have to think that way. Every piece has to be declared, connected, and put into operation somehow. There is no handouts.
