As I am trying to be true to my promise and true to myself, I am writing today. I did not have that much time to devote but I got about an hour in today. I finished up chapter 2 and tomorrow will start chapter 3. So far, so good (but I have said that about 50x already).
What I like about the book is that it is relying on the Interface Builder rather than writing in the UIView objects in code. I guess that is important to know but for now, I want to get it going to get some confidence back. Although I am on page 44 of this 700 page book, I am optimistic. I also pray that I can be honest with myself and not skip over things I do not understand, just to feel I have accomplished something. I am doing that too much lately. I did that minimally with Kochan but since have felt I have cut corners in order to forge ahead. At this point there is no turning back so I have to be serious and diligent about every word in every paragraph in every chapter of this book!
