Do exercises For a While!

Forgot to mention yesterday that an interesting small article came out in Computerworld. An noted analyst predicted that by 2016 that 1/3 of business users will have a tablet and that the tablet will be universal and the way people conduct business and pleasure. I guess what partially spurred me onto this Objective-C thing was how much fun the iPad is and the apps that it entails. What also spurred me on was desparation. I can't continue with Access forever and I am really starting to get turned off by the limitations of Xcelsius.

Well, anyway, I finished the 8 exercises in chapter 5. In reality, there were a lot more than 8 exercises. Exercise #6's instructions were to convert 4 for loop programs (2-5), into the same programs but with while loops and do loops. So basically, exercise 6 was really 8 questions in 1! So, all told, the number of exercises in chapter 5 are basically 15. Happy to say I finished them all with them working.

I am experiencing confusion with the bracketing of code phrases ( { } ). At times, there are places where I am uncertain of where to put them. Guess I will have to study a little more on these.

Considering how busy my Saturday was, I am glad I got this all completed. Wow, this is the first day of the second week of the blog. One full week in the books, 51 to go! Feeling good!

OK, off to making decisions with If, Switch and Conditional statements tomorrow! Chapter 6, page 93.
