Yes, I finished reading this short chapter and yes, I understood a lot of it, but there is still confusion as I have to resurrect many of the exercises from earlier chapters for concepts in the current chapter. There is the AddressCard class from chapter 15. Then there is the Fraction class used throughout the book. These classes were challenging enough earlier so now they are back.
Well, I guess lucky for me there are only 3 exercises at the end. They may be of great difficulty vis a vis chapter 16 but I will do my darndest to figure them out. Tomorrow is the day when I do at least the first two (or borrow answers for them). Either way, I have to move on and relearn many of the concepts when I hit the Big Nerd Ranch book. Btw, that book specifically concentrates directly on the C language in the earlier chapters; so I may get a decent replay on how to use pointers correctly. I really do not want to take a detour and learn C but I will if I am forced to.
