Well, I don't really think I will need to reread this chapter like I had to with 15. It was very straightforward. The only thing that will hold me back from doing the exercises somewhat quickly is any kind of intermingling with the challenging stuff from earlier chapters. Hope that will not happen. In any event, it was a nice 4th of July today spent with friends. I was able to get about 2 hours of reading in so I am pretty OK with that. Tomorrow I start the exercises for this chapter in the hopes I can have everything done by week end.
The file manipulation stuff, although interesting, may not prove too useful. As an Access developer I did not do much in the way of File I/O. I am not sure if this is necessary with the mac. However, I have done a lot of copy and moves with files that already exist. That should come in handy. The writing an entire file to a buffer seems cool and I am trying to envision ways this can be uses. Maybe it will hit me when I write my first masterpiece. Happy 4th of July !!!
