Yes, I have finished reading the book. Although I have a lot to learn and relearn, it is an excellent read. How do I feel? Pretty good. I feel as though I have been through a major project with a team and now we are about to go separate ways. Well, sort of. This book will become an excellent reference for me. When I need to understand stuff, I can refer to it. I would rate it 5 stars as it explains a lot an it enabled me as a "C" novice to feel a lot more comfortable with this language that at one time scared me. No more.
I am still unsure about what will be the next book. What I am thinking about doing is looking at a chapter or two of the OOP book. If it feels good and if I feel that I am learning invaluable stuff, I will continue with it. We'll see.
I worked through exercise 1 and I think I got it. I think these exercises will force me to dig deeper into this complicated code. I am sure I will be seeing a whole bunch of this type of code when I read the Nerd Ranch's iOS Developer's Guide. Ideally that will be fall reading.
