Kochan is Complete!

Thank you Mr. Kochan for writing such a terrific, albeit sometimes frustrating book. I have learned A LOT! A real LOT! I am still vey eager to continue my studies and learn more! I now understand that in addition to understanding the Objective-C language, there is much more to do. I started reading the Head First Object-Oriented Analysis & Design book. I put it down right away. Too much Java. I want to learn OOP independent of language. Consequently I searched online again and bought a 1st edition of Applying UML and Patterns: An Introduction to Object-Oriented Analysis and Design and Iterative Development by Larsen. I am not sure if this will be the book for me either, but it is a first edition and it was $0.82 plus shipping. If I find this invaluable I will buy a later edition. What I do like about this book is that it is used as a textbook at many colleges so it must be one of the definitive texts for the language.

So, what I will be doing is starting the Nerd's Ranch Objective-C book. My guess is that this should be a pretty quick read as I already know many concepts. Nevertheless, I will work through it like I did the Kochan book. I also plan on reading some OOP concepts at the Apple site and from a few PDFs that are online.

Well, it feels weird that I am done with Kochan. That book was my life for the past 2 1/2 months. I plan on using it as a reference as times goes on. Thank you again Mr. Kochan!!!
