Regarding the 4 exercises at the end of chapter 19, I am happy to report that I was able to complete them without going online. Of course I used the book as a reference as for me it is impossible to remember all of the class methods. As chapter 20 was finished yesterday, that leaves me, on day 70, on chapter 21, the last chapter of the book. If you recall, I had some concerns, based on my challenges with recent chapters 13, 15 and 16,. My thinking was that I would not make it to next book before the end of July. It looks like I will get there and ideally before the end of next week.
Tomorrow I am on call to do some work-work so I am thinking about continuing my chapter 21 reading and also reading some of the 550 page book, Head First Object-Oriented Analysis & Design. Form the little I read it says it is made for Java and C# developers but I am feeling somewhat confident (although blindly) that I will be able to handle a lot of it. We'll see where that goes as I am starting to get eager about getting into the Nerd Ranch's Objective-C book.
So I am out on a hike tonight with a buddy and we come across these two twenty-somethings hanging out on our dinner stone. One of them is in advertising and he was telling me that he pays his iPad/iPhone Objective-C developers up to $250 per hour! I am many many years away from this number (if I even get there at all) but if that doesn't get a person more motivated, I don't know what does!!!
